Filling the space

Following the world's pause in 2020 Jo Taylor, Sarah Jane Rimmer and Malcolm Thacker, each emerged with a musical space in their lives to be filled. Jo and Sarah, who had previously performed together as The Sandersons, had been pursuing individual projects, Jo leading online singing workshops and Sarah Jane releasing a solo EP.  A chance meeting at a folk music festival brought Jo, Sarah Jane and  Malcolm  together and the space was filled. Anchored in intricate three part vocal harmonies, Lacuna bring the unconventional blend of banjo, clarinet and guitar to add a sonic freshness to their original songs
